Function accents

I need a function that will take the field in a string of QVD and remove accents and leave the letters in uppercase.
Can anyone help?

Caccents = "áéíóúàèìòùâêîôûäëïöüãõñçÁÉÍÓÚÀÈÌÒÙÂÊÎÔÛÄËÏÖÜÃÕÑÇ@#$%*&()/"%\ºª´´^~"
