How to get ratio like X:Y

Hello Everybody,

I need to show ratio of two numbers in x:y format(proper fraction). Had there been a system function like GCD(Greatest Common Divisor) in excel, I could get it easily. But, without that does anybody have any idea? In excel, the TEXT() function can be used as an alternative as that lets passing some formatting parameter, but unfortunately, even that is not possible in qv.

Input:  21, 56

Expected output :  3:8

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

@Qlikview Development Team, - Please consider to incorporate a system function for GCD.

Thanks,

tresesco

So you want the GCD or the fraction simplified?

Let's say the ratio of cats to dogs is 3:2. There are 30 animals total. Find the number of cats. How do you do a problem like this?
