Is there any difference between Let vSales2 = '=Sum(Sales)' and Let vSales2 = 'Sum(Sales)' and Let vSales2 = Sum(Sales) ??

Hey,

Is there any difference between :

Let vSales2  = '=Sum(Sales)'  and  Let vSales2  = 'Sum(Sales)'   and  Let vSales2  = Sum(Sales) ??

Thanks

Hi Nikhil,

LET indstruction will load the content of the expression you give.

so if sum(Sales) = 10

LET vSales2 = '=sum(Sales)'  will return '=10'

LET vSales2 = 'sum(sales)'  will return 10

I would say  you use either

LET vSales2 = 'sum(sales)'  will return 10

OR

SET vSales2 = '=Sum(Sales)'  will store vSales2 as a string '=sum(sales)' which will be evaluated later

best regards

Chris
