Is there any limitations for charts

Hi,

Is there any limitations for charts(Bar Chart) that we have to select only this much dimensions and this much metrics like that ,

Actually we are facing issue while selecting more than 2 dimensions and more than 1 metric , while selecting more dimensions and more metrics chart getting changed but pop-up label is not working exactly , means it is not showing all selected dimensions and metrics in the pop-up label ,

Can any one suggest me how to resolve it ?

Thanks,

Sh

if you used  more dimensions then make a cyclic group for that

and same for expression side made a group

actually you can use  4 fields either dimension side or expression side

best practise is one dimension with 3 expressions

hope it helps

Yes, each chart type can only display a limited number of dimensions. That differs per chart type. See this discussion.

Can you post an example of what you want to achieve and some sample data? That way we can try to find a solution for you.

my reference manual says that in a bar chart you may have a limit of 3 dimensions,

maybe you could try another way to show your data.

Hi Rani,

A chart can have one or more dimensions. The upper limit depends on chart type

Pie, line and scatter charts can show a maximum of two dimensions, bar and

grid charts three. Radar charts can only show one dimension, gauge charts show no dimensions at all.
