Limit Capacity License in QlikView

Dear all,

by default the Qlik Sense Analyzer Capacity license type is automatically assigned to users not assigned a Professional or Analyzer license.

Is there a way to limit the use of this license in QlikView?

Because on QlikSense we can create allocation rules to limit the use of capacity license to subset of user or usergroup.

How to do this in QlikView?

Otherwise all "non licensed users" will consume Capacity minutes...

Hi @MicheleTec
you can limit access to QlikView documents only to users that have a non-capacity license assigned.
You do that in the permissions for the published documents. You might want to create AD groups with the correct users and distribute the documents only to those groups. You will need to do that for each distributed app.
Capacity time is consumed only when a user opens the document, not when they open the AccessPoint.

I hope this helps!

QlikView has Usage CALs rather than Analyzer Capacity, but it is similar in nature. I don't think they can be managed to the same level as the Qlik Sense variant, but I'm no expert on that.

We do not have Usage CALs but only Professional, Analyzer and Capacity licenses. Our problem is that now every user can access qlikview even if they don't have a licence assigned because the Capacity minutes will be automatically used.
