Multiple Columns in Legend

Is there a way to edit a legend so that rather than having to scroll down it will expand horizontally?

I have been playing with every property that I can find that edits the legend but I haven't figured this out yet.

Click on chart and then press Ctrl + Shift then you see red lines for adjusting the legend and bar chart area from here you can adjust the chart by horizontally .

Can you try by multiplying some numeric values with dimensions

say for eg : dimension *10

That is what I thought would be the solution originally, but no matter how large I made the box horizontally, the legend still goes only vertically.
