Permanently Remove Input Box Variables

Hi, this seems like an easy question, but I created an input box and added 5 new variables.  Now I'd like to remove 2 of them.  I can remove them from the "displayed variables" section but I can't permanently delete them from the "available variables" list.  Any way to do some housekeeping on my variables?

You should be able to remove the variables from Settings - Variable Overview (CTRL-ALT-V).
