Hi Xena,

Few days back I was on a business Trip  toEurope where I attended on session on Qlikview Next, I'm sharing my experience below about this.

Natural analytics is an optimization of data structures and the analytical query engine, as well as an improvement of QlikView interface, allowing easier selections and a higher usability, The goal is that the user only needs to use innate skills for an interactive experience, visualization and collaboration.

They consider four innate analytics skills by which humans naturally evolved capability for decision-making under stress:

        Pattern recognition

        Outlier detection

        Sorting

        Categorization / Relevance Detection

They consider four innate analytics behaviors:

        Association

        Comparison

        Anticipation

        Narration

So their effort for the next version of QlikView is to allow these skills and behaviors to be easily applied in analytics.

Some screens of the new QlikView were shown, and it will be all web-based, with improvements to make selections and navigate the data, being HTML5 compliant for different devices and sizes. All is in a browser, analytics and development. The script is edited by a web feature and it is compatible with QlikView 11 script, but the interface objects as tables, charts, etc. are not built in QlikView Desktop as today we do, and they are working to create an assistant to make the migration easy for us, but it will not be automatic. QlikView 11 will be supported only for 3 years once QlikView.Next will be launched, that will be probably in some months.

Hi Amit,

Thanks for the explanation.

I'm assuming this will all come with Qlikview 12 or whatever the version will be after QV 11.2 SR5.

I've been doing many upgrades of 11 from 11.2, SR2 to SR4 and now 11.2 SR5.

but haven't noticed any extraordinary gains as far as performance goes or anything amazing, maybe I'm too greedy.

I've been with Qlikview for many years now, so looking forward to the 'Big Jump' with QV Next.

Cheers.

Hi Amit,

Short and nice content. Thanks.

By any chance do you have any info on infrastructure setup cost associated with QlikView Next.

As you mentioned this will be web based does that mean it may require us to enhance the hardware.

Please provide your suggestions.
