Qlikview

HI All,

Can anyone please give me the information for my below query .

Iam running a qlikview server and it is not connected to any domain , but now this server is going to be  connected to the DOMAIN (ACTIVE DIRECTORY and hence  every CAL has to be thorugh the domain credentials , in this case what are the things do i need to do ?

Should i reinstall the qlikview and  Reaasign the CAL for document ?

In the QMC you need to configure the LDAP :

  • System
  • Set Up
  • Directory Service Connectors
  • YourDSC@YourServer
  • Active Directory
  • Directory Services
  • [Click on Help on this sub tab you are now on for help]

No need to reinstall the QV for sure. What will change is procedure to store,authenticate and authorise.

If your QlikView Server setup isn't too complex, you may want to reinstall it as you will get a chance to install the services using a to-be-created domain service account. There are various manual methods around this, but I think a reinstall is the shortest and simplest route to a correct setup.

(Not too complex meaning not too many documents and not many reload tasks)
