Setting Initial Values in Definition.xml?

I want my extension object to be prepopulated with the correct properties, but I can't seem to get it to work. For the "Text" ones setting the Expression attribute did the trick, but for Dimensions I just can't get it to work.

Attached is my definition.xml.

When I add my extension object I get the following results (the dimensions are set wrong), but the Text (last three properties) are set correctly.

After I add the object I can manually change the properties and they stick and work perfectly fine, so I know the settings are good.

So what am I doing wrong that those same values aren't sticking from my Definition.xml file?

Found the answer myself. It was to use the Initiate tag as mentioned in this post:
