Setup email alerts

Hi All,

I am looking for a detailed step wise document to setup a email alert, Mail server Setup.

Also, would like to know about SMTP,SSL etc.

I read somewhere we need to have a SMTP server access,how to get it? is it Sender's email settings?

For SMTP server details you will have to ask your email administrator what they are and confirm you have SMTP mail relay rights.
