Track entries in inputfields

Hi,

I have a requirement to track what a user enters into an inputfield for audit purposes.

Has anyone implemented a solution that works?

I have tried triggers, but these seem to be unreliable - not firing with every change

Exporting a "shadow" table to excel and adding a few fields

etc. etc.

Any hints, suggestions, would be appreciated.
