Using Pictures in Qlikview

Hello,

I am wondering myself if I can use a picture in a Qlikview Report. Yes I can make a Textbox and put a background to it but I want to change the background picture depending on the given result.

I have the full path in the results ("K:\path_to\some_directory\picture.jpg"). How can I change the background picture depending on the results ? Or is there another possibility to show a picture ?

In my report details of an article are shown. I have all article pictures stored in a directory. I want to display the picture with the results.

I would be glad if someone could help. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

What you can do is let qlikview read an excel file containg the full path of all pictures. when its all in Qlikview you can just put the fieldname containing the pictures in the textbox and use that textbox in a Qlikview Report.

If you would want it to change depending on what you select i suggest you associate the field name containing the pictures to one of your fieldnames.

Hey, ... thank you very much.

The missing thing in my report was, that I had no = in the textbox. You wrote =Pic - that was the missing thing.

Now it´s working perfectly.

I have also used your post, but my textbox is displaying the file path only, not the actual picture.

Can you let me know what and how you put pictures in the pictures.xls, or are there just links in there?

the values are just text strings containing the image file path
