Using variables in set expressions

I have the following expression:

Sum({<Applicant = {[SANOFI AVENTIS], GLAXOSMITHKLINE, PFIZER, NOVARTIS, [PLUS FIVE],[NOVO NORDISK], RANBAXY, IPCA, ALCON, GLENMARK, MYLAN, VARICHEM, [CIPLA], ALLERGAN}>} Amount)

I want to replace  Sum(Amount) with a variable vSetTotalAmount

How can the above expression be changed to accommodate the variable?

Regards.

I'm not sure how you want the end to look, but you fill any parts of an expression using variables.

$(vFunction)({<Applicant = {[SANOFI AVENTIS], GLAXOSMITHKLINE, PFIZER, NOVARTIS, [PLUS FIVE],[NOVO NORDISK], RANBAXY, IPCA, ALCON, GLENMARK, MYLAN, VARICHEM, [CIPLA], ALLERGAN}>} $v(FunctionField))
