Utilizing calculated dimensions/expressions from a table as dimensions/expressions in another graph

Is there a simple way to utilize calculated dimensions/expressions from a table as dimensions/expressions in a graph? Just want to plot on x and y axis..... seems soooooo easy, but proving not to be.......
