hye,

i am trying to find out how to prohibit(unallow) the 'users' connected as 'in server' to change/add charts to a document.

they can only select data in list box already created but are not allowed to add sheet object or to change sheet objects.

You want to disable 'shared server objects' or 'server objects' then.

There are several places where you can enable / disable these kind of objects, on a document level, disable 'Allow server objects' in Settings - Document properties - Server.

On the server, you can disable server objects completely on tab System - Setup - YourQVServer - Documents, and on a per document / user basis on tab User documents - YourDocument - Server - Server Objects.

setting - > Document Properties -> Security ->Tick/Untick the any option as per your requirement in User Previliages

Hi,

What you might want to do is to each object go to Properties - > General - check Read Only option.

This will prevent users from making selection in the object
