strange behaviour when using american server.

Hi all,

I am currently working remotely on an american server. a txt file that i am using works perfectly when loading into a QlikView on a UK server but the same file doesnt give the same results on the US server.

If i load a txt file here in the EU into local qlikview the file with tab separator works absolutely fine

if i load the exact same file into qlikview on an american server some of the fields get put out of place

and some of the data is not loaded at all

its as if it is finding strange characters and it knocks the file out of sync

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

One possibility is that when you transferred the file to the remote server the file was saved using another character set.
