hello,

want to check the existence of a string in another string, I used findof doent work

Use wildmatch

for e.g. wildmatch('Dummy','*Dummy123*') returns 1

Actually "wildmatch('Dummy','*Dummy123*')" returns 0.

I guess you meant "wildmatch('Dummy123','*Dummy*')"

you could also use the Index() function
