The following release notes cover the versions of Qlik Web Connectors released in December 2021.

Qlik Web Connectors December 2021 Release (2.119.1) Overview

Some highlights in this release include:

• .NET Framework 4.8 is required now
• One connector has been deprecated – Bitly V2 Connector will be removed in a future version.
• Three Connectors have been removed – Facebook Fan Pages Connector, Google AdSense Connector and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector.
• In this release there have been many fixes to the connectors, which may include BREAKING CHANGES and, as such, please pay particular attention to any connectors which you may use in the Change Log section below.

Deprecated Connectors

When upgrading connectors to the latest APIs, unfortunately the changes can be so extensive that we are unable to modify the existing connector. When this happens we will create a new version of the connector and put the existing one into a ‘Deprecated’ state. This means that at some point in the future it will no longer be available and after entering the deprecated status, it will no longer be updated. The date is normally determined by the underlying API which will often have its own expiry date, after which the connector using it will no longer work.

You can see connectors affected under the Deprecated tab in Qlik Web Connectors.

Qlik Bitly V2 Connector

Connector is now deprecated and will be removed in a future version.

Qlik Web Connectors (Change Log)

Updates Since Qlik Web Connectors June 2021 Release (2.109.0) The following updates have been made to the Qlik Web Connectors Core and Web UI as well as the connectors listed.

Please pay particular attention to any connectors which may have breaking changes highlighted below.

Core Engine

• POSSIBLE BREAKING CHANGE: now .NET Framework 4.8 is required (previously 4.7.2).
• Updated React 17.0.2
• Google AdSense Connector removed. This stopped working 12/10/21 due to Google deprecating the API version used.
• Updated Font Awesome 5.15.4.
• Updated clipboard.js 2.0.8.
• Updated jQuery 3.6.0.
• BREAKING CHANGE: Facebook Fan Page Connector removed.
• BREAKING CHANGE: Google AdSense Connector removed.
• BREAKING CHANGE: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector removed.

Qlik Amazon S3 Connector

• Added US Gov regions.
• Fix China endpoint domains.
• Added optional region parameter to CanAuthenticate and ListBuckets tables.

Qlik Azure Storage Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• Updated to use API version 2020-12-06.
• Prompt / consent level parameter now defaults to select_account.
• OAuth flow now uses PKCE.
• Updated to use v2.0 of authentication API (fixes error AADSTS90027 during consent/authentication).

Qlik Box Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.

Qlik Bitly Connector V2

• Connector is now deprecated and will be removed in a future version.

Qlik Dropbox Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.

Qlik Facebook Insights Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.

Qlik GitHub Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• Fix: Authentication not working.
• Added Statuses and StatusHistory table.

Qlik Google Ad Manager Connector

• Upgraded from v202105 of the API to v202111. See https://developers.google.com/doubleclickpublishers/docs/rel_notes#v202111 for changes.

Qlik Google Analytics Connector

• Added validation rule for parameter 'Start Date' - must be after Google Analytics launch date 01- 01-2005.
• Added https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.edit scope during OAuth flow to support UnsampledReportsInsert table. IMPORTANT: You should re-authenticate with the connector if you need to use this table (available to Google Analytics 360 users only).
• Improved table description for UnsampledReportsGet to make it clear that Google Drive connector is needed to retrieve data.

Qlik Google Drive & Spreadsheets Connector

• BREAKING CHANGE: Previously deprecated GetWorksheet table has been removed. As per the earlier release note please switch to using either GetWorksheetV2 or (preferably) GetSheetValues.
• Connector now errors correctly if a table name is requested which does not exist.

Qlik Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector V2

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• Updated to use API version 9.2.
• Prompt / consent level parameter now defaults to select_account.
• OAuth flow now uses PKCE.
• Updated to use v2.0 of authentication API (fixes error AADSTS90027 during consent/authentication).

Qlik OData Connector

• Increased auth header parameter length limit to 5000.
• No longer includes authentication parameters in generated load script when not necessary.
• Fixed issue 'Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1' caused by BOM in returned XML data for ListResources and GetData tables.

Qlik Office 365 Sharepoint Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• OAuth flow now uses PKCE.
• Prompt / consent level parameter now defaults to select_account.
• Improve URL concatenation for API requests.
• POSSIBLE BREAKING CHANGE: For ListFolders and ListFiles tables: if existing scripts fail please check the value of the Folder parameter is correct i.e. is based on the ServerRelativeUrl value from the ListFolders table. An example of a valid ServerRelativeUrl is '/subsite/Shared Documents'.
• Updated to use v2.0 of authentication API (fixes error AADSTS90027 during consent/authentication).

Qlik OneDrive Connector V2

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• OAuth flow now uses PKCE.
• Prompt / consent level parameter now defaults to select_account.

Qlik Outlook 365 Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• OAuth flow now uses PKCE.
• Prompt / consent level parameter now defaults to select_account.

Qlik Slack Connector V2

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• Fix: Pagination improvement.

Qlik Strava Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.

Qlik SurveyMonkey Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.

Qlik Watson Natural Language Understanding Connector

• Updated to use API version 2021-10-12.
• BREAKING CHANGE: Added API URL for connection for all tables.

Qlik Twitter Connector

• OAuth authentication codes are now returned to https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm instead of https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v2.htm. You may need to add to or update whitelists depending on your environment.
• The connector has been updated to use the 3-legged OAuth flow.
• Added 'Ignore Rate Limit Errors' input parameter to FriendIds, HomeTimeline.

Known Issues and Limitations

IP v6 Addresses

IP v6 addresses are not supported when you enter an IP v6 address for the purpose of white listing.

Load Balancing

Load Balancing is not supported.
