PixelPerfet Report in Qlik Cloud

Hi,

I am trying to build a PixelPerfect report containing straight tables, charts and pivot tables. Getting the objects as images doesn't look good.

Is there no option just to drag and drop the objects? Do we have to recreate the objects again in PixelPerfect template using its native objects? This looks like a terrible rework considering the size of our reports that run into tens of pages.

Appreciate any help. Also, please suggest if there's any tutorial that I can refer to... the small videos in the help pages don't look adequate for creating complex reports.

Regards,

Bhaskar S.

Hello @bsharma_velcro

Here are steps to creating a cross-table in PxP. This may prove useful in some of your use cases.

Otherwise Qlik Sense object images or Native Pixel Perfect charts can be to be used as you already know. The current limitations with banded reporting as PxP is, does not support drag and drop of Qlik Sense chart objects. Just their corresponding images.

Hi @bsharma_velcro

Pixel Perfect reporting is a very advanced tool. The whole point of being able to built reports in it is to make them pixel perfect and therefore it uses for it most of the time built-in library.

If you wish to drag&drop objects you may consider using excel and excel add-in to build your report. https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Reporting/design-tabular...

There you can utilise on top of drag&drop features also excel features which frankly are much simple for people who are new to the tool and most of the time you will be able to get final result similar or the same as pixel perfect. Note that Excel tabular reporting supports PDF output, but that is just "print" of excel to PDF so when designing you need to take into consideration print layout.

Thanks @Lech_Miszkiewicz, appreciate your explanation. We already tried the tabular report, but the conversion of the excel report to pdf hasn't been very smooth. The page-breaks seem to be going all over the places and not being consistent. Also, the hyperlinks in table of contents doesn't work if you use level's in your report. That's why we opted for PixelPerfect.

Nevertheless, we will try to recreate the the objects in PixelPerfect designer now. Just thought it would have been simpler if there was an option to drag and drop objects along with the native chart building functionality.
