System Alerts for Task Scheduling

With the new features made available for task scheduling/chaining in Qlik Cloud (NOT using automations), we really need a way to be alerted when a scheduled task reload fails for any reason.  Is there a way to setup a System Alert that will trigger when a reload task fails?

I realize all this can be done if I use Automations for reload task chaining (I am currently using this method), but, I really would rather use the new features of reload task chaining made available through the "Schedule" menu option in Analytics.  I have searched around the internet and the community for any guidance on existing features.  I see an article or 2 on system alerts in Qlik Alerting, but, I think that is for Qlik Sense Enterprise, not the cloud.

Does anyone know of a Qlik Cloud native feature or ability to setup system alerts to trigger when reload tasks fail for any reason?

I was able to submit a question to tech support about how to accomplish this.  They forwarded me the following link that provides the basics of what I was after

Profile notifications and space notifications:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Spaces/notifications-spa...

Essentially, using "Profile Settings" you can configure what notifications you want to receive/see from the system.  Qlik Cloud automatically posts notifications about failed reloads (and many other things) and you can subscribe to which notifications you want to receive and control how you want to receive them; i.e. system notifications, email, batch notifications and push to the Qlik Sense mobile app.

The only drawback I see to this solution is that each person that you want notified about reload errors will need to go in and setup their own notification settings.  Additionally, there is no control over the contents of the email notification that the system sends.  it just tells you there was an error, which app/task failed and gives you a link to see the detail.

I did find this help that appears to enable what I want but I cannot find the "Alerts from the top menu bar".  I feel like I should be able to find this, but, where is this referencing?  I have tried the "Alerts" menu in the left menu bar of Analytics and the "Alerts" menu in the left menu bar of the QMC.  But, neither place has an option to choose "System Alerts" or a "Create" button.  What am I missing?

Here's how you can create a system alert:

  1. Click Alerts from the top menu bar.
  2. Switch to the System Alerts view to see list of all system alert records you own.
  3. Click Create at the bottom of the table to create new alert.
  4. Enter the Alert Name and Alert Description.
  5. Select the Reload Tasks to monitor, either manually or by rule.
  6. Choose Event Triggers such as Finished Successfully, Finished Failed, Aborted Manually, etc.
  7. Select Delivery Channels like email or mobile.
  8. Set the Frequency for notifications.
  9. Optionally distribute alerts to other users.
  10. Click Save.
