Hi,

Qlik NPrinting community is at https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting/bd-p/qlik-nprinting-discussions, this is community for cloud reporting.

You created a filter returning an empty dataset. If you apply the same selections on the source QlikView document you will see no data.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi,

Can you past also the configuration of the Qlik NPrinting filter that you are applying?

Are you applying only one filter? I mean check if you have report, task, users and object filters and if you have more then one check the resulting dataset. You have an error in the filters used in Qlik NPrinting so you have to check them.

Ruggero

I agree with @Ruggero_Piccoli .

The problem lies somewhere in your filters.

First, I noticed there appears to be 2 connections associated with this report. That 'should' fine as long as this is not an on demand report. Ideally, it would simplify reporting by ensuring all data resides in a single application.

(Also there is no way to have linked field associations between multiple apps).

Second, make sure that if this report is executed from a publish task (not on demand) that you do not have same filter used directly as a report filter, for a specific user (user filter), as a task filter, or (chart) object filter. This will cause filter issues and report failures.

There are specific examples here in our help pages for Filter Rules.

Check into the above @paulwalker very carefully as you may find your filter issue therein. (also make sure that you do not have any locked fields or always one selected values in your QV app at all. This to may contribute to the issue you are seeing. If your second connection has any any unsupported items in it as well, those to can contribute to filtering issues.

Yes, I have two filters i.e Region and Current Date (based on that data is filtering)

One task has two reports and two reports has different filters.

Report1: Region and Report Date

Report2: Region_1 and Closed date

Check example 4 of the 'rules' I mentioned.

Example 4

  • Task filter: Country = Italy
  • User filter: -
  • Report filter: Country = Germany
  • Resulting filter: empty

You cannot use the same dimension twice in the filter chain task, user, report (and chart object filter if used) as shown above. It's not abundantly clear how you have things structured from end to end so do recheck all the suggestions made here and above including a check for unsupported items.

Thanks for the explanation @Frank_S ,

I'm bit confusing, can you please have a look, these filters are having in Report and User level filter.

these all are generating through Qlikview app (will it cause the filter issue)

Please find the user list
