User Directory Connector - Unable to retrieve groups

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a user directory connector (Generic LDAP) where I need to associate the attribute displayname to the AD field displayName, as follows:

In doing so, when I run the synchronization task, I lose the association of the users with the groups.

If I just change the connector as follows (I highlighted the only change):

I am able to retrieve the groups correctly.

Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior?

We found the solution to the enigma.

The problem was that in the AD the field "displayName" was not valorized for the groups but only for the users and it resulted in the behavior I described above.
