Hi folks, I'm taking the Qlik Talend Data Integration Solution Architecture course on Qlik learning and have a question on positioning and branding.
The screenshot below shows a table from the Qlik Learning course
Branding: The first column shows "Qlik Talend Data Integration". Is the proper brand name, or is it now simply "Qlik Data Integration", without the Talend?
Positioning: So, for data integration ("DI"), Qlik now really has two DI product stacks, and depending on project requirements, one stack might be positioned as a solution in some cases, and the other stack would be positioned in other cases. Is this understanding correct?
Thanks,
Jeff R. Robbins
Hey Folks,
Yes Qlik Talend Data Integration is the proper brand name. Qlik now offers multiple integration platforms, but they are positioned for different use cases rather than being interchangeable. Qlik positions its overall portfolio of data integration and quality capabilities under Qlik Talend, which is part of the broader Qlik platform.
While these are presented as a single platform from a branding perspective, they still operate as distinct engines under the hood. Depending on the use case, one or both may be used together.
Qlik Talend Data Integration is optimized for real-time data ingestion and replication using log-based CDC, making it ideal for feeding cloud data warehouses and analytics platforms.

Talend Cloud Data Integration on the other hand, is a more developer-focused integration platform designed for complex transformations, API integrations, and orchestration across hybrid environments.
