Studio debugging with Remote engines

We want to run remote debugging in Talend studio.
The documentation says the remote engine cannot be in a cluster.

All of our engines are in a cluster.
We could create a new remote engine on the same server as the cluster and leave it out of the cluster.

Would this work ? Is this allowed to? would it cause any complications with logging etc?

Or does it need to be on a clean server away from any other remote engines?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

The studio will not see the remote engine cluster, but you enable everything in tlc and remote engine, the RE will be visible from studio

You cannot add cluster, just individual RE , even if the RE belongs to cluster from TMC perspective

Regards

David

HI David.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not trying to add a cluster just the RE.

The RE is set to allow remote debugging, it is also in a cluster, but I don't see it available.

Should I be able to see the RE even if it is in a cluster?

Thanks in advance.

yes probably you did not allow remote engin to accept remote connections :
