We are installing a hybrid solution for a customer, and he wanted to know if there is any comunication between the Talend Management Console and the GIT server ?
At the creation of a project on the console, it asked for a GIT Url but, is there any validation, any connexion between the web console and the on premise GIT server ?
Contrary to TAC, TMC (Talend Management Console) does not validate the Project Git URL and does not attempt to connect to the Git Server (this is why there are no credentials information in the project definition in TMC).
When a Studio connects to a Talend Cloud project, the GIT url is sent back to Studio which will connect to the Git Server using the developer credentials.
To summarize, there is no connection between TMC and the Git Server. The interaction with Git is done at the Studio level leveraging the Studio developer credentials.
