Can't find tHTTPClient component in Talend Studio 8, Build ID 20260102_0846-patch

Hello,

I want to replace the deprecated tFileFetch component with the recommended replacement component tHTTPClient.

However, I cannot find tHTTPClient in the Palette. I also checked:

Edit Project Properties -> Designer -> Palette Settings

but the component is not listed there either. In the Internet family, I can see components such as FTP, SCP, Samba, etc., but there is no HTTP section and no tHTTPClient.

I am using:

Talend Studio 8
Build ID: 20260102_0846-patch

As far as I understand from the documentation, tHTTPClient should be available in this Studio version. I cannot simply update to version 2026-08, because tFileFetch may no longer be available there, and I need to migrate the existing jobs from tFileFetch to tHTTPClient before updating the Studio.

Could you please advise how I can install or enable the tHTTPClient component in my current Studio version?

Thanks in advance,
Matthias

Hello MauerwegRunnerBerlin

tHTTPClient component is not activated by default.

You need to activate the feature related to it in the feature manager of the Studio in order to make it available in the Studio palette.

Hello Gjeremy,

Thanks for your reply.

The Feature Manager only shows the Studio version that I configured in TAC for updating Studio. I cannot select or install individual features there. (see attached png file)

I cannot update to this version yet because I first need to replace the deprecated tFileFetch components in my jobs.

How can I use the Feature Manager to install individual features, as shown in your screenshot?
