I've created a DB Connection to a SQL Server database and that works fine. I have a schema built for the table/query. Whenever I click on the [...] to go to the SQL Builder I can see and run the query fine. However, every time I try to save the/any query, I get the message "Please define name (*) and comment." I would like to save several queries for this DB Connection but can't find what it's talking about with the message, or where I enter this name and comment in order to save the query in the repository. I've been searching online for several days for a solution with no luck.
I had the same thing happen to me. Here is the resolution I found:
Using your mouse, grab the corner or bottom of of the Save As query dialog box and pull (over, down, etc.). After the dialog box is sufficiently big, the Name and Comment text boxes will appear along with the Save / Cancel buttons. Enter the info, Save and you are good to go.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
Could you please show us your query on forum?
Best regards
Sabrina
First image shows the schema, query, and results all work properly.
Next image is the message I get every time I try to save the query.
I'm trying to get several queries saved in the repository for this db connection and just change the "where" clause in each. I haven't been able to find where or how to save the queries, without getting the above message.

Thank you !!! That worked exactly. The fields were hidden and I had to stretch out the box to show them. Once done and I filled them it, the queries are saving now. Thank you so much StvMtchlFV.
