Disable "Check for extra features " during Talend startup

During Talend Data Integeration Startup, Talend is checking for "Check for extra features" which slows down the PC speed and finally results in "Talend not respodning".Before versions did not have this option and found it very good.
Can some one tell how to disable this option?

I opened SQL Builder in 5.6.1 and doesn't respond. I cannot close a tool - even Task Manager doesn't help. My environment is: Windows 8.
It hangs on every operation when I have to use Windows Task Manager to restart a tool. Is it ever worked over been tested?
