Error: "Target directory could not be created"

Hi,
When uploading a job to SpagoBI from TOS DI 5.6.1 on Ubuntu we get a dialog box:
  "Target directory does not exist. Would you like to create it?"
on confirming we get immediately  an error :
  "Target directory could not be created"
Everything is so fast that it looks like TOS DI does not even contact the SpagoBI Server.
Where should we start to look?

Hi Sabrina,
Yes, we are able to publish using another PC with identical configuration.
We finally solved it by clicking the button to reset the default setting in TalendStudio preferences pane. Then the error was gone and the jobs were deployed. We found no parameter which changed so it must be some mysterious hidden parameter which is recalculated or something. (or we looked over it of course).
