Oracle connection timeout while executing the query

How to increase connection time out period for executing oracle queries against talend toraclerow?
our oracle query is running for a long time and connection is getting time out for every time.i know there are some additinal jdbc parameters to be passed ? but can anyone please provide me those details ?
and please give us more information why we are facing this issue ?

How did you set timeout for your oracle? In Listener.ora file in oracle?or something else?
