Oracle with Service Name connection fails with Invalid Username/Password, even the credentials are correct

I am trying to create a connection, however it is failing with the error as ""

Below is the snapshot of the error., however if I connect with SQL Plus (developer), with the same connection, it connects successfully. See Image 2. Really appreciate any help.

Hello,

If your username and password are as you expected, could your connection parameters be resolving to a different database?

Best regards

Thanks Sabrina.

It is happening for different servers too. I tried using different servers, however same issue.

If for any of the server with port 1521, then it connects, however for 1522 ports it gives this error.

Thanks,

Azim

Hi Azim,

Are you checking the SQL Plus and Studio connection from same machine? Did you check your firewall settings? If its working for a specific port and not working for another port, you may have to check in that route.

Warm Regards,
Nikhil Thampi
