If I click on the box beside the word "Query" with the three dots in a tMSSQLInput componentit flashes like it is opening, but does not. I have tried this with other components in the query designer, but I run into the same issue. I have attempted to remove and reinstall, but to no avail. I have also closed and restarted, rebooted, and changed the Java version from 1.8.161 to 11.0.11. None of these options have worked. I have also found there is a patch for the non-community edition which was released on May 28, 2021 to fix this specific issue. Will this be released for the community edition, and if so, when? Right now, I have to use the quoted window to make any changes to a query without running it in Talend, and that works, but is difficult to read. I have also checked the logs and they are empty. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @Alex Smith ,
I'm afraid that patches are only released for subscription editions of Talend. The new version of Talend Open Studio will be released in Q4, but there are already milestone releases available. You can find the latest releases at SourceForge.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/talend-studio/ for Data Integration or you can download the ESB version which has everything that the DI version has, but also includes web services and routes. That is here https://sourceforge.net/projects/talendesb/

Richard
Hello,
What's the operation system are you using? So far, there is no patch for talend open studio.
Does this issue repro on other version?
Best regards
Sabrina

I am using Windows 10 professional. I have tried on versions 6.1 and 6.5.1 without reproducing the issue. In fact, if I run 6.5.1 side-by-side with 7.3.1, 6.5.1 does not have the issue while 7.3.1 still does. Since this seemed like a common issue with version 7.3 and there was a patch release addressing this specific issue, my question was focused more on whether that patch is available to the general public.
Thanks. I will take a look and see what we can do until then. I can at least copy a query into the in frame quoted box and it seems to work, so this will work for now. Again thank you.
