Reading a PDF or RTF file as input to Talend

hi there..
I need a help from you guys on reading a pdf & RTF file into talend as input.
The raw input file was a .rpt file which i used java to convert into a pdf & rtf files. Using pdf or rtf as input i need to read these files and make it as plain text.
I need you guys help on converting into a plain text so that i can apply for further proceeding with my logic.
