Talend Open Studio for Big Data opens but can't use connectors

I just installed Open Studio for Big Data and while it opens the connectors are missing.
I am installing the Mac version on OS X 10.10 with Java 8
Full error file attached but the start of the main part of the  error message is

Checking the Java install from the Mac command line indicates it is installed.
java -version
java version "1.8.0_60"

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.60-b23, mixed mode)

Hi,

Could you please paste the error message into forum directly? Your attachement is not working well.

Which components(connectors) do you want to use? Can you see them from palette?

The components are showing on the palette but are greyed (see attached screenshot)
I have enclosed the error message below.

Hi Hamish,


We can't see the screenshot on our side. Could you attach it on the forum again, please? That would be great.
In addition, have you tried re-install your studio completely to see if everything is fine?
