Talend Open Studio for Data Integration with Apache Kudu on Windows OS

Will it be possible to Connect to Apache Kudu using tKudu components from Talend Open Studio for Data Integration which is installed on Windows OS? I have installed from Onepoint who provided Talend components to interact with Apache Kudu. However, these components are not showing up in Palette. Kindly suggest if anyone has worked on Kudu integration with Talend.

Hi,

The Kudu components are only available in Subscription version of Talend under the Big data job category and its not available for Open Studio. Please refer the below link for details.

Please also check the Palette settings under File -> Edit Project Properties section.

Hi Nikhil,

Thanks for your quick response.

I have one more question on Kudu connectivity. Since the Apache Kudu is an relational database for fast analytics purpose in Cloudera environment, would it be possible to set up ODBC/JDBC connectivity from Windows OS to further use it in Talend for data integration? Please share your thoughts.

Thanks & Regards

Vamsi

Hi Vamsi,

Personally I have not tried that route so I don't know whether it will give fruitful results. I would stick with the native components provided since native components usually provide better results compared to any generic ones.
