Hi,
I'm trying to set up my proxy in the "Network Connections" panel (in "Preferences"), and I don't get why it doesn't work.
This is my panel (I defined provider as "Manual") :
This is my settings for HTTP proxy :
Then, when I try to "Help -> Install additional packages...", the list keep empty.
Moreover if, in my job, I try to download an external jar that need to be installed the following error occurs :
I don't know if I forgot something in my configuration.
May it's necessary to close and open again the application (I ask that because it seems to be necessary if you change the application language) ?
I didn't find anything relevant in your documentation or in forum... Hope you can help me !
Hi,
I am unable to connect to network. When I try to download external modules the error I get is "Network is unavailable".
I do not use any proxy to connect to the network. What should be the proxy settings in that case? How should I get rid of this error?
I did not find anything in the technical document.
Thanks.
Hi , I have same problem. When I installed Talend 5.6.1 version I couldnt install external modules talend after installation. After I realized we had problem with network connection. Because Talend couldnt download automaticly external modules.
thanks.
Hi x2010069,
You can't use your proxy auto-config file (proxy.pac) directly in the host field.
Instead, try to open your proxy.pac file in a web browser and pick up one of the proxy url. Put this url in the host field then it sould work.

Hi, where can I find this configuration setting? Theres no "Network Connections" entry in the preferences of Talend Quality Studio 6.0.0. Java SE 1.8.0_45 Win7 Regards Olaf
window -> preferences-> General -> network connections
Well, that exactly is my problem. It does not exist. Under "General" there's "Appearance", "Compare/Patch", "Content Types", "Editors", "Globalization", "Keys", "Perspectives", "Search", "Security", "Startup and Shutdown", "Web Browser" and "Workspace".
Filtering preferences for net gives an empty window.
Can I set this settings by hand in some config file? In which and how does it have to look like?
Regards,
Olaf

I'd like to add a screenshot, but get an "Error : Invalid format of the picture. Or the server doesn't support processing of pictures." I tried PNG and JPG to no avail.
