Talend big data studio install/update sites not showing up

JayZ1_0-1751516912522.png

Hi, I have moved to a new laptop and with this my talend install is at patch. Our admin console and studio on my old laptop is R2023-02. I know I should update, however I cannot do it right now. I don't want to risk moving all of my code to this new patch and our admin console is still on an older one and not being able to deploy my talend jobs.

I use studio offline, How could I update this to reference the local studio patch I have which is R2023-02?

This is what I updated:

under configure update repositories, the update URL is file:/Applications/Talend8/patches/

Hello,

When working in offline mode, Talend Studio always runs based on the locally installed version and patch level. It does not automatically align itself with the Admin Console version.

If your Admin Console is currently on R2023-02 and cannot be upgraded at this time, the recommended and supported approach is to use Talend Studio R2023-02 as well.

You can proceed in one of the following ways:

Option 1 (Recommended):
Install Talend Studio R2023-02 on the new laptop and import or reuse your existing workspace/projects. This ensures full compatibility with the Admin Console and avoids any deployment issues.

Option 2:
If you already have the R2023-02 patch available locally, you may configure Studio to reference the local patch repository via
Window → Preferences → Talend → Updates, then restart Studio.

Please note that jobs developed with a newer Studio patch are not supported for deployment to an older Admin Console, even if the Studio is used offline. This can lead to deployment failures or unexpected runtime behavior.

Best practice:
Always keep Talend Studio at the same or lower patch level than the Admin Console until the platform is upgraded.

Thanks,
