Talend meets Hubspot

The integration of CRM-Systems like HubSpot in existing data landscapes is often linked to lots of manual labour. As iodata GmbH we often encountered the same bottleneck in our customer projects: to much API-Logic, with to less reusability.

Therefore, we created to new native components for Qlik Talend Cloud/Talend. Created to decrease the workload for HubSpot integration drastically:

  • HubSpotExtractor
  • HubSpotUploader

What do these Compontents do?

Using the HubSpotExtractor you can extract Data like Contacts, Deals or Companies directly from HubSpot without REST-Wrapper or HTTP-Logic.

The HubSpotUploader provides the possibility to write these objects into HubSpot. As single row, batch update or event based.

Both components are fully integrated into the Talend ecosystem and use the native architecture for connectivity, error handling and data transformation.

Why?

Complex API-calls should not be a barrier for Talend-Users.

  • No REST-implementation required
  • Fast configuration & instantaneous usage.
  • Seemless integration into existing ETL-/ESB-processes
  • High reusability & scalability

Example 1: synchronizing HubSpot & Salesforce

a typical Usecase:

  • Extract contacts from Hubspot using the HubSpotExtractor.
  • Compare with Salesforce contacts
  • Identify changes, log or process further
  • No REST-labor

Everything inside a Talend Job, robust, transparent, maintainable.

Example 2: REST-to-HubSpot Uploader

Inside a Datadriven Flow a REST endpoint is receiving Data in a JSON Format.

Data is parsed and validated, then stored into a relational Databas and sent directly into Hubspot.

No manual API-Handling, no Overhead.

Technical Highlights

The components support:

  • Acess to centrale HubSpot-Objects (Contacts, Deals, Companies etc.)
  • Authentification via API-Key
  • Batch-transformation, Error handling and mapping-logic
  • Full ESB-/ETL-compatibility in Talend-Studio

Installation & Availability

These Components can be installed via Component Designer or directly into the Talend-Component-Library.
