Talend start

Hi Talend experts

Until yesterday my talend was working smooth and suddenly this morning when I started accessing it, it wouldn't start and keeps throwing me an error:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to acquire application service. Ensure that the org.eclipse.core.runtime bundle is resolved and started (see config.ini).

Not sure what is wrong.

Let me clarify I am using Talend on macbook, using version 6.4.1

Can someone please help what could be wrong or do I need to re-install only?

Thanks

Harshal.

Hi Sabrina

Thanks for your reply.

Not really. I am just double clicking icon and opening the app.

Until yesterday everything was ok and suddenly this morning it started giving me trouble. Not sure what's wrong though.

Is there anything else I should try or should I re-install?

Thanks
Harshal.

Hello Harshal,

Are you using talend open studio or subscription solution? What's JDK version are you using? Could you please upload the log message? Which is located in <Talend Studio installation path>/workspace/.metadata/.log

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello,

Have you ever used a custom component in your project? Did you try to import external jar file into your studio?

Please follow the steps as below to restore the items.
1. Back up the workspace.
2. Delete the workspace and restart the studio.
3. Import all items from the backup of workspace done in step1.

Let us know if it is OK with you.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina

I ended up re-installing Talend. However, this is not a solution, I felt Talend could have been much stable product than I would have thought.

Thanks
Harshal.

Hello,

Actually, we cannot repeat your issue from our end on window 10. What's Mac OSX are you using?

Have you already checked this online installation guide about:TalendHelpCenter:Compatible Operating Systems to see if you are on a supported platform?

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello,

OS X High Sierra 10.13.6. is not list on the supported table.

Could you please try to use talend open studio for data integration v 7.0.1 to see if it is OK with you?

Best regards

Sabrina
