[resolved] Error: Unable to retrieve projects, read projects error.

I'm running Talend 5.4.0 on a 64 bit CentOS virtual machine and everything was running smoothly until this morning.  My computer started acting up and the problem was eventually diagnosed as a lack of available memory due to an unexpectedly large temp in the home directory.  I cleared out the folder and things seemed to be running smoothly but now when I try to open Talend I get an error message that says "Unable to retrieve projects: Read projects error."  When I press okay nothing happens and Talend does not open.  Are there any suggestions?

Hi,
I ended up just completely deleting Talend and re-installing the most recent version and that seems to have fixed it.  Thanks for your help.

Hi,
From your description, I suppose your talend.project is corrupt.
You should create a new empty project and then COPY the other files in folder(your initial project, but not the corrupt talend.project ) to the new empty project by manual.
Restart studio to see if you can get the new project with job. Let me know if it is OK with you.

Hi Sabrina,
The problem is that when I run the code to start Talend I get the error before I even get the opportunity to select a project.  I uploaded a screenshot of the error.  I click okay twice then the all of the Talend boxes disappear and I need to keyboard interrupt the terminal.

Hi,
Please follows the steps as below to restore the items to see if it is OK with you.
1. Back up the workspace.
2. Delete the workspace and restart the studio.
3. Import all items from the backup of workspace done in step1.
