Hello all,
I would appreciate any suggestions on managing the memory settings as i have huge tables ( >2million records) that needs to be moved around and i keep getting this error.
Also, any reason why my job is reading a string column as a character from a text/excel input?

Hi there,

I am experiencing the same issue as those previous users regarding JAVA heap space.

I am currently running TOS 6.4.1 with JDK 8 and I struggle to open an 23 210 ko.

I get the following message when I try to open the xls file:

Problem occurred: Unhandled event loop exception / GC overhead limit exceed

My JVM settings are the one displayed in the first screenshot (I've also written the same informations into the .ini file that you can see in the second picture).

My computer uses Windows 7 Pro, and runs 32GB DDR3 RAM.

Do you know where is my mistake and what should I set to my JVM to be able to open my Excel file?

Hello @betulb,

Please try to edit the .ini file that matches the .exe you use to run the studio.

Hi Sabrina,

I tried this options but still my work is not run.
My file almost 30 gb and I guess that's why it's not loading in metadata.

Or do you have any other solution to upload this file into metadata?
