tFileInputMail is ignoring some attachments (which it shouldn't do)

Hi all,

I have this job where part of the flow is downloading e-mail attachments.

It works fine, but not always. There is one recipient for which it ignores the attachments and explicitly prints out the below message.

Does anybody know why this happens and how to make it download those attachments?

Best,

Dominik

Hello,

Can these attachments be extracted from tPOP in this one mail file? Did you set basic settings of tFileInputMail as:
Collumn Mail part
SUBJECT SUBJECT
ATTACHMENT ATTACHMENT to see if it is OK with you?

Please have a look at this jira issue:https://jira.talendforge.org/browse/TDI-39982  and let us know if you have the same issue with it?

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina,

Yes the attachments are there in the .mail file and the settings are as you describe.

It is not the same as with  the jira issue, because my attachments do not have the same name. And the job is not exporting any attachments at all.

Also the job works in general for most e-mails and attachments, the problem is only with the e-mails from one specific sender.

It also works when I take the attachments from the original e-mail and send them from my own e-mail address.

Is it possible that some sort of encryption or something is hindering the component to download the attachments?

Best,

Dominik
