tHashInput & tHashOutput: gone in 5.6.1 ?

Hi,
I occasionally use the tHashInput and tHashOutput components in jobs, but I cannot find these anymore in the component palette in version 5.6.1 of the Talend Studio I am currently using. tBufferInput and tBufferOutput are still there. Have tHashInput and tHashOutput been scrapped ?

Go to File --> Edit Project Properties, then in the popup window go to Designer --> Palette. You will find them there. Move them from the hidden column to the Show column.

Okay, thanks for the information, but why have these two useful components been hidden ? Any reason for that ? Are they considered to be deprecated ?

They've been hidden for a while (I can't recall since which version). As far as I know there is no intention to get rid of them. I believe the reason they are hidden is simply because they haven't got round to unhiding them.

So far, we don't get any official information about that the tHashInput and tHashOutput component are being deprecated.

If they are deprecated there MUST be a compatible replacement for them. They are invaluable components.
