I have a dashboard containing 4 identical charts. the 2 on the left are showing the x-axis labels, the 2 on the right are not:
I have checked the 4 chart properties onder appearance, they're all the same. The size of the charts is the same, I can't figure out why the 2 on the left are showing the labels and the 2 on the right are not.
I would like all 4 to show the labels.
On my second worksheet, none of the 4 charts has the labels visible.
Also: is it possible to use 2 dimensions for the x-axis? Just like you can in Excel
It looked that there isn't enough space within the right chars because there are too much possible dimension-values - which also lead to a scrollbar.
I think I wouldn't use a timestamp as dimension else a time-field which might be rounded in some way - half/quarter of a hour.
ok, I understand, the scroll-bar wouldn't be a problem because I would like to have the users to be able to scroll left / right in the chart. However, I would like to have the chart something like this:
A possibility to show all datapoints for 1 day on the horizontal axis so you have a total overview for 1 day in the chart would be the perfect situation.
In general should be two x dimensions be possible. But it will depend on the chart-type + number of dimensions/expression + various object-configurations if it's usable for your requirements or if it had any side-effects.
The less the better - not only in regard to possible technically limitations else also to readability. Therefore I suggest to consider to avoid the scrollbar because as far as a bar is out of the view it has no relationship more to the viewed bars ... IMO there is no added value else rather the opposite happens. Maybe some kind of drill between months/weeks/days/quarter-days ... with/without some statistically information (min/max/avg/median) could be more suitable.
