Action on change of variable

Hi  Guys,

Hoping all of you are doing well.

Basically I am using an extension "Simple List"

Requirement:The value to get auto selected on change of variable(Eg-Dec 18)

For Eg-

We have Field

Date

17-Dec

18-Dec

19-Dec

20-Dec

21-Dec

and variable "V_Text"

If V_Text is 1 select 17-Dec and if V_Text is 2 select 21-Dec

Can we achieve this using action button given in screenshot
