		Hi!
Qlik Sense is great for mapping a name of an area, to the outline. On land, at least.
We have names of oceans and seas in our data, and would like to color oceans and seas based on various measurements.
 - Pacific Ocean
 - Black sea
 - North sea
 - North Atlantic Ocean
 - etc
Any tips?
Vegard

		Hi,
I would say that the first step would be to find a shapefile / KML with the polygons of these oceans and seas. Do you have any?

No I don't. But I guess I should be able to find / make some.
But how do I connect custom KMLs to the Qlik Sense geoname mechanism?

I find the documentation a bit scattered. I see that I can, I just can't find how.
According to https://support.qlik.com/articles/000041082, Qlik Sense is using https://www.geonames.org/.
I can find bodies of water, such as the 'North Sea' there, with an area map. But it does not show in Qlik Sense.
As for custom area maps, the https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/April2018/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Visualizations/Map/load-map-data.... gives examples of point data. But how can I load area data, and expand the list of valid $geonames?
Any help appreciated.
Best regards,
Vegard
