Can't upload picture

Hi all,

I encounter an issue with the default library for pictures.

I can upload pictures from the QMC : content libraries, Default, upload.

But if I try to upload a picture from an app : text and picture, upload, I get a 400 error image (attached picture).

We are on Qlik Sense Enterpise, and the file I tried to upload is only 2 Ko, far below the 5 Mo limit, so I don't see why I get the error.

Is there anything I missed, and that I could check to solve this ?

Best regards.

Hi @User93

mmm... I see in the release notes of Patch 4 that some kind of issue with uploading images was appearing then. However, I could not reproduce it in my environment.

Sense Enterprise on Windows release notes - May 20... - Qlik Community - 2516914

Your version, 14.231.5, is the Initial one for May 2025. Maybe it would be a good idea to install one of the most recent patches and see if this solves the issue.

Kind Regards

Daniel

Hi @User93

Could you, please, indicate which Qlik Sense version are you using? I tried to upload an image in different versions and Nov 2025 was giving me issues too.

If you are using this same version, maybe a case must be raised to Qlik Support for them to check.

Kind Regards

Daniel

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

We use the Qlik Sense - May 2025 - 14.231.5 version.

Are there any known issues with that one and the pictures ?

Best regards.

Hi @User93

Also, check for the App.Content security rules.bbb.png

Another option would be Repository Log:

%ProgramData%\Qlik\Sense\Log\Repository\Trace\

Filter for ValidationFailed or 400 around the time of the upload attempt. The log will show entries like Command=Upload app content;Result=400;ResultText=Error: ValidationFailed, which confirms it's a permissions issue rather than a file issue.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

I checked the App.Content security rules, and the logs after trying to load a picture, but I didn't find any errors.

I guess I will wait for the upgrade to a more recent Qlik Sense version to check if this solves the issue.

Best regards.
