Hello
I would like my users to be able to enter a comment to a project in a report via an inputbox. My first thought was if it was possible to include variables when you share a link to the report. That would be good enough. I tried the share button but it seem to only include selections and not variables. Or am I doing something wrong?
Any other ideas on how to achieve this? Can it be done?
Some of the Qlik partners offer writeback features. See here:
Hi,
If you want users to enter comments directly within the dashboard, you may want to explore SenseOps Writeback. It allows you to add input fields inside the app where users can enter comments, and those comments can be written back to a database with user and timestamp details. You can also control permissions so only authorized users can add or edit comments.
This provides a structured way to capture user feedback directly within Qlik apps instead of relying on external tools.

@NS_Qlikupdates the post was from 6 years ago, I hope the OP has solved their problems by now. 😊
Aslo worth reminding that we have now a native write table in Qlik Cloud, for those who have already moved there.
Hi Daniele,
Thank you for the clarification.
For use cases where organizations need capabilities such as capturing comments with user and timestamp details, writing data back to external data sources, or enabling structured input workflows within dashboards, some teams also implement dedicated writeback solutions depending on their requirements. Thank you for pointing this out.
