Creating Timeframe field based on Month Selection

Hi all,

I need to create a timeframe field which contains following periods and will be used in filter:

last month data,

last 3 months data,

last 6 months data

There is a month field used as filter .If no month is selected and in filter last 6 months is selected then the last 6 months should be shown from today's month else it should be shown based on month selected.

How to create this field?
